Today is the day! Some of you may have already heard the rumors – it’s true! Here comes the Venos stereo bus compressor.
The Venos stereo bus compressor is based on the same design as many legendary vintage tube compressors, but expands this impressive sonic signature with modern features such as our proprietary 120V technology and two revolutionary hyper-compression modes. All parameters on Venos are set using switches or detented potentiometers – a single control element manages both, the left and right channel. All parameters have been fine-tuned in countless listening sessions to make the compressor intuitive to use and to add size, depth and impact to every stereo signal, as soon as Venos is turned on.

SPL Venos – All about Venos
We love all our products – but this release is a very special one for us.
Our goal was to create the perfect all analog 120V technology stereo bus compressor – we were fast with the initial design but it took us so long to fine tune all the parameters to make the Venos exactly the way we imagine the perfect bus comp. It should be easy to use and huge in sound. After all this adjusting of little parameters we had the idea to add two new modes based on compression with negative ratio. Keep in mind we have a variable bias comp here with no fixed ratio. The results are the Focus and Punch modes – we call it hyper-compression modes. Be aware, it is something you never experienced before.
We made a first batch of Venos to get feedback from the SPL Artist community before the official product release. The feedback was that good and absolutely no one wanted to let the Venos leave the studio again. We took this opportunity to shoot some nice videos with these Artists to share their experience using the SPL Venos Stereo Bus Compressor with the whole SPL community.
